Gemalto Blog

Client: Gemalto

Project: Global social media strategy & hub

What we did: Social media strategy development and venue build

Gemalto briefed us to advise on, develop and implement a social media strategy that would evolve its communications infrastructure to better fit the needs of its increasingly digitally connected customer and influencer base.

Following a period of consultation in which we mapped out key influencers across Gemalto's diverse business proposition, a strategy was recommended that would see the phased introduction of conversation hubs built on Wordpress and Twitter, and provided advice, training, guidelines and policies on how to make the most of other social venues.

The lynchpin of the strategy is the new blogging hub at http://blog.gemalto.com, a Wordpress multisite deployment that provides simple management but massive scalability to Gemalto as its conversations in the social sphere evolve across its business units. This year has seen the first three blogs launch – focussed on corporate, telecoms and enterprise security focussed conversations, and the corporate blog has reached PageRank 5, seeing traffic and engagement steadily rise as we continue to provide insight and advice on how to evolve Gemalto's communications. We also designed 'skins' for Gemalto's other social hubs, including Twitter and YouTube, and provide ongoing maintenance and consultancy on the continued evolution of the Wordpress hub, most recently adding Google+ social features.
